The GOAT. He probably has the most powerful swing in all of WSEM, which results in some of the farthest homeruns you’ll ever see anyone hit. He had an MVP caliber 2013 season but was beat out by #2 on this list. He’s had double-digit homerun totals every year and will continue to as long as he’s in the league.

A 2 -time MVP, Rookie of the year, and WSEM champion, he’s done it all. What’s most impressive to me was his 3-season span of batting over .300 from 2012-2014. He has the perfect mix of talent and class, which makes him one of the most liked players in WSEM, and I’m glad to have played on his team in 2012.

A 2-time WSEM champion, 2-time batting champ, and 2-time WSEM MVP; I can safely say that he is without a doubt the best hitter WSEM has ever seen. He can take a walk or crush a ball over the tree house at Poolside. He is in the MVP race every year and I wouldn’t expect anything different from him in 2016.

Top Ten Hitters All-Time in WSEM: #4-6 (by David Castle)

.558 (6) .299 (5) 5.37 (6) 17.11 (6) .412 (9)
One of the more consistent hitters in WSEM that can hit for both average and power. He finally got the monkey off of his back by homering off of top pitchers Craig Skinner and C.J. Phillips this past season. After a disappointing 2015 campaign, he looks to bounce back in 2016.

He’s one of the more disciplined hitters in WSEM that can also hit a ball as far as anyone. He’s flown under the radar the past few years, but really broke out in 2015. If it wasn’t for Bortmas, he probably would have had a shot at the MVP last season. Look for him in the MVP race in 2016.

He’ll never be known for his batting average, but he will be known for his outstanding power. He won the HR title back in 2012, which really put him on the map. He even hit a homerun one handed off of Farkas, which set the tone in the 2014 Championship series. He was barely seen last season, but looks to get back on track in 2016.

Probably the most underrated hitter in WSEM history. He does everything pretty well, but his only knock is that he’s a free swinger, which shows in his batting average and OBP. He’s a good teammate and someone I’d want on my team every year.

He’s never really had a good batting average, but he can hit a ball a country mile; I know from personal experience. Trust me. What stands out most to me is that he gets an RBI just about every game, which is easier said than done with the pitching we have in WSEM. If he didn’t swing for the fences every time, he’d be higher on this list. Regardless, he is and will continue to be a great power hitter.

He’s obviously always been known for his pitching, but don’t sleep on his bat either, which makes him one of the best 2 way players in the league. He can draw walks and hit with power. He’ll be a nice compliment to Bortmas in 2016 as the Aces look to go back to back.

Probably the best left handed bat in the league. Most forget that he won the Triple Crown in 2014, impressive considering the people he beat out (Bortmas, Tomlinson, Pearson) just to name a few. He looks to rebound next year after a rough 2015.

A lifetime Wicked Ace, Crozier flies under the radar with his hitting ability. He gets on base with it, be it by hit or walk, and never goes down without a fight at the dish. His playing days are numbered having only one weekend of playing time in 2015, but still one of the best.

He’s been in the league since it’s inception and has been productive pretty much his entire stay. He will never wow anyone with his power, but he does know how to get on base. A 2 time NWLA Champion, he will go down as a WSEM great.
