By the Numbers: Preseason Team Hitting & Pitching

Now, we have rosters. Now, we can see what's what. Well, kind of… a decent guess, maybe. That's better than nothing! We've compiled hitting and pitching numbers for each team based on the career stats of its veteran roster. (Note: rookie impact does not factor into this breakdown.) Team Hitting is simply the average of the career hitting numbers for every veteran: AVG, SLG, OBP, AB/HR, and PA/RBI. Pitching Rotation averages the pitching numbers of the two best pitchers who are registered for more than 50% of games: ERA, WHIP, BAA, K/6, and K/BB. The six teams are sized up alphabetically below.

Emilee Semeniuk's Mock Draft 1.0

Ahead of the 2019 Draft we've put out the call for mock draft submissions. Six days ahead of the draft, the fourth mock comes from Emilee Semeniuk. The rule for the mock drafts is that you can only use players whom are currently registered. So, with late sign ups coming in, Emilee's board has the potential to look a lot different than earlier mocks. The order is a snake draft. Although, I'd forgive you for not seeing that with all of the moves made in the first two rounds. These moves include: the Islanders owning the SeeYas/Redux 2nd round pick; El Diablos and Stinky Nuts swapping 1st and 2nd round picks; Islanders and King Friday swapping 1st and 2nd round picks, then King Friday turning around and trading the #5 pick back to the Islanders for the #10 and #11 picks. Follow all that? No worries if not; the chart makes it clear enough:
1ST ROUND
1. KYLE TOMLINSON
2. TRAVIS STROJNY
3. SCOTT KUJAWA
4. CRAIG SKINNER
5. STEPHEN WERNER

Chuck Shartz Mock Draft 1.0

Ahead of the 2019 Draft we're accepting mock draft submissions from almost anyone who wants to submit one. Case in point: today's mock by Chuck Shartz! Fairly certain that's a pseudonym, but he included commentary and sent along a picture, and - let's be honest - you're not saying "no" to that jawline. "Chuck" submitted his mock draft on February 24. When putting together a mock draft only names from the official list of registered players at the time can be used, thus leaving the board open to possible shakeups if and when stragglers finally sign up.

It is a snake draft order. If not, don't worry; clear enough in the chart:
1ST ROUND
1. KYLE TOMLINSON
2. TRAVIS STROJNY
3. CRAIG SKINNER
4. RAY BROWN
5. MICHAEL GIGUERE
6. MICHEL BAYLEY
"First 4 picks are no brainers. Giggy is Alex's love child. Aces take best pitcher."
2ND ROUND
7. STEPHEN WERNER
8. GREG BRANNAN
9. TOM ZELLER
10. NICK BRADEN
11. JOSH NAGORSKI
12. DAKOTA LADOUCEUR

3RD ROUND
13. WILL BURCHFIELD
14. ZAC ADAMS
15. MARK BRANNAN
16. JOHN SKINNER
17. CHARLES ALONGI
18. PRESTON BAKER
"No surprises here."
4TH ROUND
19. GRADY BAKER
20. JASON HEWLETT
21. RJ FISHER
22. JORDAN POWER
23. ZACH PATTERSON
24. ANDREW BRUEN
"El Diablos will be the next victim of the classic Fisher-No-Show."

Michael Giguere's Mock Draft 1.0

Ahead of the 2019 Draft we've put out the call for mock draft submissions. When putting together the mock draft only names from the official list of registered players at the time can be used. So, any stragglers signing up could shake up their board at a later date. Because of that multiple mocks per person will be accepted (and content is always good). It is a snake draft order, although with all of the moves in the first two rounds (affecting 9 of 12 spots) I'd forgive you for not seeing that. Those moves: El Diablos and Stinky Nuts swapped 1st and 2nd round picks; Islanders and King Friday swapped 1st and 2nd round picks; and the Islanders also own the SeeYas/Redux 2nd round pick. Mock drafts are currently limited to a maximum of the first 3 rounds.

The first person to submit a completed mock draft was Michael Giguere who sent in his on Monday, 2/11 without individual commentary.
1ST ROUND
1. KYLE TOMLINSON
2. TRAVIS STROJNY
3. RAY BROWN
4. NICK BRADEN
5. STEPHEN WERNER
6. MICHEL BAYLEY

7. DENNIS PEARSON
8. TOM ZELLER
9. MICHAEL GIGUERE
10. JOHN SKINNER
11. RJ FISHER
12. DAKOTA LADOUCEUR
3RD ROUND
13. JASON HEWLETT
14. CHARLES ALONGI
15. ANDREW BRUEN
16. JORDAN POWER
17. PRESTON BAKER
18. JOHN ROBERT
"Something like that based on what there is, maybe swapping rookie spots."
