Simulated 2019 Season: Week 1
Scores for the simulated season are achieved by using the ratings for ace pitchers, #2 pitchers, and team hitting from the team grades podcast in conjunction with the random number generator at Random.org. Ratings are scaled up to be out of 100, providing a greater range to work with. The first game in a series utilizes the ace pitchers' ratings; the second game the #2 pitchers' ratings. Pitchers rating starts counting at zero with opposing team hitting added on top of that. The max on the random number generator is set to that total. The lower the randomly generated number, the lower the hitting team's score: 0 runs (0-50% of P), 1 run (51-75% of P), 2 runs (75%-100% of P), 3 runs (split-25% of H), 4 runs (26-50% of H), 5 runs (51-70% of H), 6 runs (71-80% of H), 7 runs (81-85% of H), 8 runs (86-92.5% of H), 9 runs (92.6%-95% of H), 10 runs (96-98% of H), 15 runs (99-100% of H). The away team's number and resulting score is always generated first, followed by the home team.
