King Friday Rebrands as Burros

Donkeys are back. In a way. The one year team from 2012, recognizable by their logo drawn with the pencil tool in paint and surprising use of red jerseys, is having their spirit animal revived by David Castle. Castle is carrying over the red and gray colors, but also throwing purple into the mix. The rest of the 2020 identity is completely retooled. Instead of Donkeys, Castle's new team dons the name Burros. No more crude kicks, the new logo (seen at right) drapes the burro in Zorro regalia in front of a red circle. The Burros will be the first WSEM team to feature red as a color since 2016 (Red Cox).
Castle's last team, King Friday, was also a resurrection. King Friday, like the Donkeys, began in 2012 but played through 2014. After a two year hiatus, Castle brought back the King Friday name in 2017, although updating the colors and logos (twice): originally to blue as primary, and later the recent orange and black scheme.
Irrelevant notes:
  • Castle denies any reference to David Buhr (his first WSEM captain) in the Burros name.
  • If Castle ever wants to continue the 2012 revival tour, the Aces franchise is still active, but the Punchouts brand is free to claim.
